Rescue parachute training is fun and optimally prepares you for emergencies in everyday flying, where quick and experienced action is vital for survival – a benefit for pilots of all experience levels.
Since we usually only rely on automated procedures in stressful situations, we recommend that every pilot has thrown the reserve parachute at least once. This will give you confidence in your skills and your rescue equipment under real conditions.
We start with a detailed equipment check, during which we regularly find and rectify faults such as incorrectly connected reserve parachutes and harnesses! Afterwards, we teach you the basics of reserve parachute deployment and the correct behavior in the air. Additionally, we will train you on reserve parachute designs and the correct choice of size, so you can choose the perfect reserve parachute for you. Then we move to Beckenried and take the train to Klewenalp. From there, you fly into the designated box, deploy your reserve parachute, and put what you’ve learned into practice.
