Safety training

Flying more relaxed with safety

A safety training is a lot of fun, but most of all it helps you prepare for situations in everyday flying where there is no time to think. Being able to react correctly at the decisive moment is not only important for professionals, but can be crucial for every pilot.

During our safety trainings over Lake Lucerne you will learn to control your glider outside your own comfort zone. Under expert guidance you will learn to know and control your own limits as well as those of your equipment.

In Beckenried we have optimal conditions to conduct a safety training. The distances between the landing site, the cablecar and the take-off area are short, the landing site is directly on the lake and the area is also largely protected from strong winds. Of course, the company’s own lifeboat is always on site and immediately on hand in case something should go wrong.

The structure is step by step and individually tailored to you. If this is not your first safety training, we will repeat what we have learned together during the first flight and discuss the further training program directly at the landing site. You already have a lot of experience with extreme flight maneuvers and now you want to go one step further? Due to our long experience in the acroscene also first freestyle maneuvers like SAT, asymmetric spiral or stall and helicopter can be learned under radio control.

At the beginning of the training we will discuss the basics in a briefing, check your equipment and during a joint flight we will get to know you and your flying skills a little better. Before the first flights over the lake, you will of course be equipped with the additional equipment such as life jacket and radio and instructed.

Your flights will of course be recorded on video and sent to you after the training for your own analysis. We do not do explicit video analysis, but use this time for the practical part. But that doesn’t mean you won’t get feedback. We will discuss your flight directly at the landing site and plan the next one together. This way we can work very individually and efficiently on your further development.

You also have the possibility to throw the emergency parachute during your last flight. To do this, we initiate a typical emergency situation and you can test your rescue equipment under real conditions. This gives confidence and you will see your rescue equipment from a completely different perspective in the future.
