Materials are becoming lighter and webbing straps narrower. To prevent them from slipping, increasingly slim carabiners are required. However, these have the disadvantage that they do not open wide enough to ensure that paraglider harness straps can be attached without any problems. The FORAS is different. The 51-gram aluminum carabiner for straps up to 25 millimeters wide opens sideways! Its breaking strength is 23 kN, thanks in part to its H-profile construction. An automatic twist-lock closure ensures optimal handling, and a batch number with the year of manufacture makes it easy to check the maximum service life. Rounded edges ensure optimal strap support with FORAS. The anti-twist device, specially developed for Foras, prevents the carabiner from turning sideways, making twisted carabiners and slipped straps a thing of the past. Each individual piece is also machine-tested before it leaves the EDELRID factory.
