AustriAlpin Rocket

The ROCKET is a lightweight aluminum carabiner for narrow paragliding harness systems. Equipped with the Slide Autolock closure, this carabiner offers the highest level of safety. An absolute MUST for every hike ‘n’ fly, run ‘n’ fly, climb ‘n’ fly, ski ‘n’ fly enthusiast, it should be part of every lightweight equipment set. This lightweight carabiner weighs only 65 g and has a breaking load of 22 kN.

The carabiner’s closure has been designed to minimize snapping when closed. This minimizes the effects of continuous oscillation on the carabiner. The slide autolock closure enables reliable closure without manipulation of the closure, yet it can be opened easily with a targeted finger pressure on the slider.

The ROCKET is only approved for solo flights. The corresponding marking on the carabiner is “mono”. Due to its shape, the ROCKET is designed exclusively for use with lines or straps up to 14 mm wide for the upper, tapered carabiner leg and 20 mm wide straps for the lower narrow leg.

The maximum service life is reached after 1500 flight hours or 5 years from initial use.
